Bioprospecting of endophytic fungi of Cameroonian medicinal plants collected from the Kalla Mountain at Nkolbisson, Yaoundé-Cameroon

Funded by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).

The project was directed towards the isolation, identification, and conservation of endophytic fungi from Cameroonian medicinal plants collected from the Kalla Mountain at Nkolbisson, Yaoundé-Cameroon. In order to reduce the growing pressure on the wild plant populations, a bank of endophytic fungi with over 100 interesting strains has been established. These strains are available for chemists and biologists for further investigation.
